Here are 6 tips that can help you ease your itchy and dry skin that makes you feel terrible to move out.

If you have sensitive skin that has turned flaky because of the weather or the use of skin irritants, it is time to switch to petroleum jelly that doesn’t have many ingredients. The problem with dry and sensitive skin is that abrasive skin care products break down the protective layers and when a moisturizer having different chemicals is applied on this weak area, it causes skin irritation, causing more itching.

Petroleum jelly contains nothing more than a single ingredient, which makes it gentle on your dry skin. Keep your skin covered or remain in shade as much as possible. Proper dressing is important even during the winters. Wear multiple layers to help prevent excessive perspiration and overheating. These are two factors that can irritate your dry skin.

An SPF 15 sunscreen lip balm can help in preventing dry and chapped lips during the winter. Make sure to keep your lips covered under the shade of a hat or scarf. Loose and long-sleeve shirts should be worn when you venture out in the sun. Follow the tips mentioned above and you can help ease your dry and itchy skin and prevent further aggravation.
